  • Scout Tour (From 3rd to 20th of September)

Since 2002 the Touareg has been built in Slovakia's capital Bratislava. In 2005 Rainer Zietlow visited the factory for the first time after setting a new high altitude record for standard vehicles with a Touareg V6. This was followed by further factory visits after his two world record attempts on Panamericana in 2011 and between Melbourne and St. Petersburg in 2012 with a Touareg V6 TDI. This time, the new Touareg V6 TDI "Facelift" was modified in the pilot hall of Bratislava to be ready for the Scouttour in May/June 2014 and for the world record attempt in September 2014. The result is the best Touareg we have ever had.

Therefor, we want to thank the Volkswagen factory in Bratislava, especially the team of Juray Medveczky for working tirelessly on our Touareg and for their great motivation from the beginning up to the very last days before the world record drive starts.

We are very happy to show you some photos from our last meeting in Bratislava, where the official press pictures were taken and last changes have been made.
