  • World Record Run (from Norway to South Africa)

We are on schedule again. This good day started with our entry into Kenya and now, at sunset, we are leaving Marsabit behind. The border crossing between Ethiopia and Kenya went quicker than we´ve had expected. On the Ethiopian side we did just arrive, before the official could close his office door for lunch time. No lunch time now - 6 strong willed eyes told him that we´ve got a record to set. 3 stamps and a never ending discussion about "crazy German people" - the official made a good decision and soon we were at Kenya´s office, where our logistics partner Kühne+Nagel had placed its employees with all prepared documents.

That was great - thank you very much!

Accompanied by a small security team, lead by "Wilfried", who we had already met during our Scouttour in May/June 2014 - we went on to Nairobi. Good weather and road conditions made it possible to get us on schedule again, so we could have a little chat with the locals and clean up the Touareg. It looked as if it have had a bath in a mud pool…

Keep your fingers crossed, that Kenya stays well-disposed towards us throughout the night!
