All parts are there, now manpower and teamwork are challenged.

In the midmorning, Rainer and Marius could finally pick up the parts from the customs, grace to great support by Kühne+Nagel. All parts were well packaged and complete - great work in Bratislava and Vienna. With a convoy of VW Amaroks, the parts were transported from the airport to the workshop.

A few hours later, our guests Johannes Komb from the Volkswagen centre in Fulda and Benjamin Krenzer, operator of the workshop "Buschmechanik", landed as well. With these two, we now have experts here in Dar Es Salaam, who will try to make the goal of restarting this week possible. Their commitment is convincing - instead of resting from the hard flight, they got all key data and prepared the body of the Touareg. From today on, all of us meet the challenge "start the engine".

For this, nearly all hang-on parts have to be replaced, some of them require even changes in the software. As soon as the engine runs, we will share our joy with you. Our bags are packed, so we hope that our next blog reaches you from a driving Touareg, written somewhere in Tanzania, heading Zambia, all under the slogan "Touareg CapetoCape".
