Finally – after four months away from home we arrived in Europe again. On November 26th we flew the Touareg from Cairo to Paris to be in time for an invitation from Hewlett Packard in Frankfurt, where Rainer presented the world record project in front of 1200 sales men. Another invitation from HP took us to the “HP Discover” trade fare in Barcelona, where HP's CEO Meg Whitman mentioned the “Touareg CapetoCape” project in her opening speech in front of 12.000 listening visitors.

So this is the end of the project “Touareg CapetoCape”. We set a new world record time - despite an involuntary delay. I want to thank my team, Marius and Matthias, very much, as well as I thank Volkswagen, all our sponsors and everyone who supported our project during this year and even before – this would not have been possible without your support. Big thanks go also out to you, our followers and fans, readers of our blogs and news for your interest in our world record drive from the northernmost tip of Europe to the southernmost tip of Africa. It was a great pleasure.
