Support of SOS Children's Village Lusaka
On November 3rd, we visited the SOS children's village in Lusaka - one of the villages we chose to support for Touareg CapetoCape. The village in the Zambian capital was founded in 1999 and provides a loving home for children, who have lost parental care. Also they built schools in the village in Lusaka, so the children can be taught up to High School, as well as treated medically in the medical centre. The children were really excited about our visit, Rainer played with some of the children in the playground and told them about the world record drive they had done. We will soon visit another SOS children's village in Khartoum, Sudan, which we support and are already looking forward to that.
Rainer supports SOS children's villages since 2005, with all projects he has done. For Touareg CapetoCape he donates 20 Euro Cents for every kilometer driven. It is always a great pleasure to visit the SOS children's villages after the record drive, to see where the donation actually goes. The money contributes to maintenance and running costs. Goodyear EMEA has declared to double the charity budget of Rainer Zietlow. Fantastic! Thank you very much for this great decision. A short video about our visit follows soon.
