Scout Tour (From 3rd to 20th of September)

Honningsvag/Nordkapp - we reached our last overnight accommodation with a real bed. Only few hours now until we leave. One could say, that it is the calm before the storm, but our mind is full of thoughts. 
Good preparation will help us to find some calmness in the cockpit, as individual circumstances can lead to tension during such a long drive. A tour of 18.000 km involves many possible dangers, which can be minimized by cautiousness and a smart style of driving. 
But there is no time for worrying - the VW Touareg has to be packed and prepared today. Ms. Hansen, mayor of Nordkapp, will start the stop watch at 3 am on sunday morning and officially start our Touareg CapetoCape World Record Drive.
We want to begin this journey as representatives for our sponsors and all helping hands - we are grateful for your trust and the great support. 
For now, we´re enjoying our last meal before leaving.
