  • World Record Run (from Norway to South Africa)

Kenya was clement on us - even if the corrugated ground of the Road of Hell gave us and our equipment a good shake. The result was an evening blog which came far too late and a foglight which dismantled itself. An unseen speed bumper had to disturb our night as well - one of these small uprisings in the asphalt which are supposed to make you aware of a village or a police control ahead. After driving at around 100 km/h we enjoyed another small flight - no problem for the VW Touareg and we could laugh about it.

Grace to Kühne+Nagel we had a perfect run through the border between Kenya and Tanzania again - Hakuna Matata means welcome. We arrived in Arusha at rush hour but the police men waved us through all of their check points. We´ve passed the road to the Serengeti Nationalpark and the Ngorongoro crater - a must for everyone traveling Tanzania - and are now driving towards the eastern side of Lake Manyara. If you combine a visit of these special places to 5 days of Safari, you can cross the "Big Five" off your bucket list.

You can also find great souvenirs on this route. But for now, there is no time for us to visit a Masai mart - we´ve got a record to set.
